SCAPP Conference, Dunfermline 2023

In May 2023, the ELTI team attended the SCAPP Conference: 'Celebrating Success & Moving Forward in a Changing Educational Landscape' and facilitated a workshop for delegates: The potential of university-led tutoring in high schools to increase confidence in pupils and make steps towards narrowing the attainment gap.

SCAPP (Scotland’s Community of Access and Participation Practitioners) aims to provide a practitioners’ network to support the development and professionalisation of a strong widening access and participation community in Scotland and by doing this embed, enhance and support effective practice in Scotland.

Times Higher Education Awards, 2022

In recognition of the work done in the first two years of the programme, ELTI was shortlisted in 2022 for a Times Higher Education (THE) Award in the category: Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community. This gave the ELTI team the opportunity to present the project to delegates at the Times Higher Education Campus Live UK & IE conference, in London, in November 2022.
