SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY HUBS
We work closely with link teachers in our partner schools. They identify pupils who are eligible to take part and support them to access the tutoring. We have also developed strong links with community groups who are supporting young carers, care-experienced young people and young people who are disengaged from school education.
Over the last three years, ELTI has reached hundreds of pupils, offering blocks of sessions each year from October to December and from January to March, as well as additional sessions from April through June.
Community Organisations
ELTI is always looking for new ways to engage with young people, and we have developed strong links with local community groups that aim to offer opportunities to young people. Since then, ELTI has been able to offer 121 blocks of sessions to young people through these organisations: 60 in the year 2021/22 and 61 in 2022/23.
Artlink
Artlink was established in 1984 to support and promote the involvement of disabled people in the arts. Their aim is to increase opportunities to take part in the arts for those who experience disadvantage or disability in the East of Scotland. Artlink establishes partnerships with artists, venues and organisations to help encourage positive change.
Heavy Sound
Heavy Sound transforms the lives of vulnerable and disengaged young people and adults across East Lothian, Midlothian and Edinburgh. They work with young people to improve their health, wellbeing and capability by teaching them new skills in music, biking, sports, life skills and mentoring, leading them into positive pathways to future destinations.
